
Google Ad Manager (GAM) provides a number of ways to block inappropriate ads:
- Block by category: GAM allows you to block ads in specific categories, such as adult content, alcohol, and gambling. To block ads by category, go to the “Inventory” tab, then select “Blocking” and you can select the categories you want to block.
- Block by advertiser: GAM allows you to block ads from specific advertisers. To block ads by advertiser, go to the “Inventory” tab, then select “Blocking” and you can select the advertiser you want to block by clicking on “Block advertiser”.
- Block by ad: GAM allows you to block specific ads by their ad tags or creative. To block ads by tag or creative, go to the “Inventory” tab, then select “Blocking” and you can select the ad you want to block by clicking on “Block ad”.
- Block by keywords: GAM allows you to block ads that contain specific keywords. To block ads by keywords, go to the “Inventory” tab, then select “Blocking” and you can select the keywords you want to block by clicking on “Block keywords”.
It’s worth mentioning that, you can also use “Sensitive Categories” to further limit the types of content that can be displayed on your site, this feature allows you to block certain types of content that you may consider sensitive, such as political content, profanity, and more.
Additionally, you can also use third party tools such as “AdSafe” to scan your ads for potential policy violations and to remove any ads that are not compliant with your ad policies.
