Find My iPhone is a feature that allows you to locate, lock, or erase your iPhone if it is lost or stolen. If you no longer need this feature, you can turn it off by following these steps:
- On your iPhone, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
- Scroll down and tap “Find My iPhone.”
- Tap the toggle next to “Find My iPhone” to turn it off.
- If prompted, enter your Apple ID password to confirm.
Keep in mind that turning off Find My iPhone will also disable Activation Lock, a feature that prevents anyone else from using your iPhone if it is lost or stolen. This is important to consider if you are planning to sell or give away your iPhone.
If you are using Find My iPhone to locate a lost or stolen device, you should not turn it off until the device is found. Otherwise, you will lose the ability to locate the device.
