As of January 20th, 2023, the CEO of Netflix is Reed Hastings. He co-founded the company in 1997, and has served as CEO since then. Prior to Netflix, Hastings co-founded Pure Software, which produced tools for software developers. He also serves on the boards of Facebook, and a few non-profit organizations, like KIPP, the Knowledge Is Power Program, and the California Charter Schools Association. Under his leadership, Netflix has grown from a small DVD rental-by-mail service to one of the largest streaming platforms in the world, with over 208 million subscribers worldwide.
